MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The National Weather Service in Memphis has released more preliminary tornado reports from the storms that swept through the Mid-South Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

The NWS reports that Slayden, Mississippi, and Grand Junction, Tennessee, experienced the same EF-3 tornado with 150-mile-per-hour winds.

Senatobia, Mississippi, also saw an EF-3 tornado with winds at 160-165 miles per hour.

According to Action News 5’s meteorologists, that is the strongest wind range from a tornado that the Mid-South has seen during the storms for this event.

This brings the tornado tally up to four tornadoes, with all four being EF-3s.

These reports are preliminary, and more information is expected as surveys continue.
