MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man who allegedly exposed himself to missionaries last week is facing a new indecent exposure charge almost 10 years after he was arrested for driving naked around Memphis.

Arrest records show that 55-year-old Todd Albritton was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Monday.

In May 2015, Albritton admitted to Action News 5 that he was the man seen in several videos and pictures showing a Mercedes driver traveling around the city wearing nothing but a black hat and sunglasses.

He later pleaded guilty to indecent exposure.

In that 2015 interview, Albritton voiced remorse and claimed he was under the influence of Ambien and Seroquel, drugs not prescribed to him, and said he did not remember exposing himself while behind the wheel.

“It’s not like me, I’m a respectable good Christian,” Albritton told Action News 5’s Jerica Phillips.

But court records show he reoffended in 2017, and on the morning of Tuesday, February 25, Albritton allegedly exposed himself to two missionaries who he called to his apartment.

Two witnesses told Memphis police that Albritton reached out to them asking if they could conduct “mission work” at his apartment near Shelby Farms Park.

According to the affidavit, the duo traveled to Albritton’s home and knocked on the door Tuesday morning. As they waited for an answer, one of the missionaries realized Albritton was staring at them through a window, completely nude, and while actively masturbating.

The pair then fled and called police.

Albritton was sentenced to six months in prison for his 2015 nude cruise.

He was rearrested in May 2017 on three more indecent exposure charges out of Germantown, Tennessee. The details of this case are not immediately available, but court records show he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 11 and a half months in prison for that case.

Albritton’s arraignment for his newest charge is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
