Dyersburg officials warn of flood danger, potential evacuations

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (WMC) - Officials in Dyersburg are alerting the public to a potential flood disaster following a deluge of rain this weekend.
The North Fork of the Forked Deer River is above 25 feet as of 5:30 a.m. Monday.
This could lead to potential evacuations on Monday for residents in South Dyersburg. Nothing has been issued yet.
Crews are closing some roads in South Dyersburg as a result.
As always, stay away from flooded roadways.

As of 1:40 p.m., some road closures have been announced for south Dyersburg.
These street closures include:
- Atkins Street
- Davis Road
- Forshee Street
- Laird Street
- Samaria Bend Road
- Wilson Drive
- South Main - from Christie to Highway 51 bypass
