Digital Desk: HBCU conference coming to Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The 2025 National Alumni and Pre-Alumni Councils Leadership Conference is coming to Memphis.
The three-day conference will take place from February 20–23 at the Renasant Convention Center (255 North Main Street) and the Sheraton Memphis Downtown (250 North Main Street).
More than 500 students, teachers, HBCU leaders, funding specialists, sponsors, alumni, and member institutions of UNCF—the nation’s largest higher education organization that serves underrepresented students—will attend this event.
Activities and events included:
Thursday, Feb. 20
- “A Taste of Memphis” Welcome Reception at The FedEx Experience Center
- CPR Training presented by The American Heart Association
- J. Crew Student Styling and Headshot Lounge
Friday, Feb. 21
- Leadership Breakfast/Business Session
- Career Fair
- Empower Me Tour Luncheon
- Professional Development Workshops
- Alumni Summit
- UNCF NAC Legacy Gala
Saturday, Feb. 22
- Professional Development Workshops
- Miss National UNCF Coronation
The conference will also recognize people with alumni awards for their remarkable contributions to their alma mater, community, and UNCF.
The awards will be given out at the UNCF NAC Legacy Gala on Friday, Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Memphis’ Renasant Convention Center.
