Digital Desk: Coming together across different racial & political backgrounds
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The 9th annual National Day for Racial Healing will take place on Tuesday, January 21.
La June Montgomery Tabron is the author of “How We Heal” which gives her advice on how to connect with individuals despite racial and political differences.
She has spent her entire career at the forefront of efforts to achieve racial justice, and her ideas are important as national talks focus on mending deep-seated differences in our society and constructing a future in which all children may succeed.
Racial healing is never easy, but “How We Heal” argues that it is achievable with intention, commitment, and a proven method.
Tabron joined the Digital Desk to talk about her new books and her American story which strives to inspire everyone.
