WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (KAIT) - Arkansas State Police arrested three men suspected of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from a video game store, leading officers on a high-speed chase.

Around 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, ASP troopers were alerted to a theft at a West Memphis GameStop store.

According to a Tuesday news release, a trooper spotted the suspects’ car at the intersection of Avalon Street and East Service Road.

When the trooper tried to stop the Nissan Maxima, ASP said the driver sped off, reaching speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour through a residential area.

“Troopers executed a tactical vehicle intervention at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to stop the suspect vehicle,” ASP said.

Police arrested the driver, 27-year-old Dennis Davis, and his passengers, 30-year-old Davion Lawson and 33-year-old Bobby Logwood.

Davis is charged with theft of property, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing, and other traffic violations.

Lawson and Logwood face charges of theft of property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ASP said troopers recovered more than $2,600 worth of merchandise from the suspects’ car.
