Man charged for homicide on E. Shelby Drive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Man arrested for a homicide that happened on East Shelby Drive in November.

Delangelo Turner, 20, was charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of a robbery, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault.

On Nov. 27, just after 6:55 p.m., officers responded to a shooting that caused a crash at East Shelby Drive near Faronia Road.

Officers located a 2016 Nissan Maxima with front-end damage.

One victim was found on the scene and taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. Two other victims were taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.

One of the victims died from his injuries at the hospital, according to police.

Police say the shooting happened on Stacey Road.

The victims were meeting a man to trade a weapon when they were robbed and shot, according to police.

On Dec. 3, a lead connected this shooting to another shooting that happened on Nov. 26 on West Mitchell Road, according to police.

Investigators also matched the suspect vehicle captured on video as being on both scenes.

On Dec. 17 the vehicle was found on East Raines Road.

The man in the vehicle was identified as Turner and he was taken into custody.
