Shooting at Lamar Avenue hotel recently shut down as public nuisance, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A shooting took place at a hotel on Lamar Avenue that was recently deemed a public nuisance.
Police say the shooting happened on Lamar Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
Officers found a man who was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The Economy Hotel was deemed a public nuisance back in November after complaints of drug sales, homicides, and gang activity.
The hotel has since been reopened.
