Mississippi murder suspect captured in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - U.S. Marshals captured a Mississippi murder suspect in Memphis.
Tony Lott, 18, was wanted for shooting a man to death.
On Oct. 25, 2024, a man was shot to death on North Street Mary’s Circle in Greenville, Mississippi.
Five days later, a murder warrant was issued out of Washington County, Mississippi, for the arrest of Lott.
USMS Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Mississippi adopted the case and developed information that Lott was in the Memphis area.
The investigation was turned over to the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Memphis for further investigation.
On Dec. 5, the Two Rivers Task Force and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team went to an apartment on East Point Cove in Memphis to locate Lott.
He was found there and taken into custody.
Lott is currently being held at the Shelby County Detention Center as he awaits extradition to Mississippi.
