Hospitality Hub to open emergency warming center
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - An emergency warming center will open for those needing to escape the cold weather.
It will open at the Hospitality Hub on 590 Washington Avenue Monday at 9 p.m. until Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Those needing a ride to the warming center can contact the Hospitality Hub at 901-297-1680 to schedule pickup. Pickup begins at 8:30 p.m.
The weather is forecast to be in the 20s by early Tuesday morning.
The warming center is not intended to replace the services provided by a shelter and has limited services.
Openings are available at local shelters for anyone who needs food assistance or overnight sleeping accommodations.
Those seeking overnight accommodations are encouraged to call Union Mission at 901-526-8403 or MIFA, at 901-529-4545.
