MPD: Woman succumbs to injuries from convenience store shooting
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A woman has succumbed to injuries she sustained from a shooting last week in Hyde Park, according to the Memphis Police Department.
The woman was one of three victims of a shooting on Wednesday, October 16.
She and two men were wounded.
Police originally said the shooting took place in the 3100 block of Jackson Avenue, but new information clarifies that though two of the victims were found there, the shooting actually happened about two and a half miles away at Zack’s Mini Mart on Eldridge Avenue.
Two shooting victims, including the now-deceased, were rushed from the scene on Jackson Avenue to the hospital in critical condition.
The third victim was found at the store on Eldridge and sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police say there is still no suspect.
MPD did not answer Action News 5’s question regarding the current condition of the man who was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
