Homeowner injured, break-in suspect dead after both shot during home invasion

TUNICA, Miss. (WMC) - Two people were shot during a home invasion in Tunica.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at a home on Beatline Road just after 1 a.m. Friday.

Deputies found a man at the scene who had been shot and airlifted to the hospital in Memphis.

That person was identified as the homeowner.

A second person was also shot. This person later died and was identified as 30-year-old Nadarius Joiner.

Tunica County Sheriff’s Office says no arrests have been made, as homeowners have the right to protect their homes.
