MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A warrant is out for the person accused of killing a worker at Church’s Chicken in Orange Mound following a dispute over a food order.

Memphis police say Monica Williams, 45, is wanted for first-degree murder.

The shooting happened Monday night at the location on Park Avenue.

Anitra West, 48, was killed in the shooting. Family members describe her as a shining light and a beautiful soul.

“I’m a better man because of her,” Loranzo West, her ex-husband and high school sweetheart, said. “That’s what will be missed the most, because everywhere she went, she impacted everybody.”

Memphis police say Williams drove through the restaurant’s drive-thru when she and Anitra got into a “dispute over a food order.”

Investigators say Williams drove away, Anitra walked outside to get some air, and then witnesses heard gunshots.

Anitra died at the hospital. Police say the women were strangers to each other.

This isn’t the first time Williams has been accused of committing a violent crime.

Shelby County Court records show she plead guilty to aggravated assault in 2009 for stabbing her boyfriend’s child’s mother and hitting her with a tree branch.

Williams served three years in prison, according to court records.
