Grizzlies host community outreach event at Bickford Park
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - It might’ve been a scorcher Tuesday, but the Beale Street Bears still wanted to reach out to the local community.
The Grizzlies held an event at Bickford Park. With the help of volunteers, the Grizzlies helped beautify the park, made snack packs for kids, and even painted a mural.
“It’s been fun,” said Memphis Grizzly Brandon Clarke. “I was able to talk with the kids, I was able to paint that ‘B’ over there. I was able to plant some plants. But you know, it was very fun getting to come back here and talk with the kids.”
Young Memphians in attendance even had a chance to participate in a Q&A with Clark, who said he is truly enjoying his time in Memphis.
