Flash Flood Warning for portions of Shelby & Desoto counties including the city of Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Heavy downpours have started to train within the same areas dumping rounds of heavy rainfall in cities along the Mississippi river. Because of these heavy rounds a FLASH FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Shelby and Desoto counties. Make sure to avoid roadways and areas you know are easily flooded. Showers and storms should begin to taper off after sunset.
TONIGHT: Another mild night with lows in the middle 70s and mostly cloudy skies.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs once again in the middle to upper 80s.
EXTENDED FORECAST: More sunshine and warmer temperatures will build back mid to late week. Highs on Wednesday will be back near 90 then into the middle 90s going into next weekend. Humidity will also be back to play with ‘feels like temperatures’ back in the triple digits by the weekend. Our next best chance of rain doesn’t come until we head into the latter part of next weekend into the early portion of the work week.
