MARION, Ark. (WMC) - Hino Motors is closing down its Mid-South manufacturing plant.
Last week, Hino Motors sent a memo to investors with their intent to withdraw from the parts business at its Arkansas plant, located in Marion.
The plant will be closed by the end of 2027, with Hino citing that the business is no longer profitable.
The Marion plant began production in October 2006 and currently employs 1,300 people.
