WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) - A former Arkansas attorney was arrested twice for driving while intoxicated just hours apart, according to Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department

Bryan Donaldson was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Saturday afternoon.

At 1:35 p.m. deputies responded to a call of a reckless driver in a white Chevrolet van.

Deputies found the vehicle that was driven by Donaldson and arrested him.

At the detention facility, Donaldson refused to submit to the Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and was charged with refusal, according to deputies.

Donaldson was released at 5:44 p.m. He was then taken home.

At 8:20 p.m. on the same day, deputies responded to a call of a white Chevrolet pick-up in a ditch on Highway 218.

Deputies arrived on the scene and spotted the vehicle sitting on the wrong side of the road.

Donaldson was found in the driver’s seat, slumped over the steering wheel, with the vehicle running and in drive, according to deputies.

Donaldson was arrested again for driving while intoxicated, and he refused to submit his BAC.

He was released from custody on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Donaldson is still awaiting trial in a human trafficking case from 2021, where he was charged with rape.

That trial is currently slated to begin in May.
