Woman accidentally shot, killed by toddler, police say
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A woman is dead after she was found shot inside a car Tuesday night in a shopping center parking lot off U.S. Highway 64.
Memphis police say three people were inside the car in total — one man, one woman, and her three-year-old son.
Police say the shooting took place inside the car and that the toddler pulled the trigger.
The shooting has been ruled as accidental.
No charges have been filed.
Officers were called to the parking lot at 7:42 p.m., but police say it’s unclear at this time where the actual shooting took place.
The victim was rushed to St. Francis Hospital Bartlett in critical condition but did not survive.
