Kosten Foundation to host 13th annual Kick It 5K October 29
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Kosten Foundation’s 13th annual Kick It 5K is set for October 29 at Shelby Farms Park beginning at 1 p.m.
This year, the Kick It 5K is dedicated to the memory of Kathryn Gilbert Craig, an 11-year pancreatic cancer survivor, who passed away from causes unrelated to pancreatic cancer earlier this year.
She and her husband, Tommy, also led the Kosten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Support Group for many years.
Tommy Craig joined Action News 5′s Andrew Douglas at the digital desk to talk about how the money raised at the event will be used in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
He also explained why it is important to be familiar with pancreatic cancer and the potential symptoms of pancreatic cancer.
