MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - An endangered child alert has been canceled by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation for 17-year-old Angela Gail Kirk and 2-day-old Kyron Legend Kirk.

According to Horn Lake Police Captain Joseph Keene, the 17-year-old was in Mississippi Child Protective Services (MSCPS) before giving birth to Kyron at Baptist Desoto Hospital 2 days ago.

After being released from the hospital back into MSCPS custody, Angela took the baby and snuck away from a restaurant where MSCPS took them to get food.

The two have since been located and are safe.
