Thousands of Entergy Arkansas customers without power
WYNNE, Ark. (WMC) - Power outages are a major concern across the mid south this morning, especially in Wynne, Arkansas.
These outages were caused in part by downed trees and limbs that landed on power lines, some blocking roadways across the Mid-South.
As temperatures stay low, having no heat is a nightmare and crews have been cutting up trees that landed on the roads and near homes and power lines.
Power was restored for some after about 3 hours of clean up, but just one hour after getting power back it went out again for some.
”The transformer blew a while ago. We were just sitting there and we heard a big pow in the back yard and we saw the sparks and the transformer in the back corner blew,” Wynne resident Brandon May said.
Right now there are over 1,500 Entergy customers without power in Cross County, and there are nearly 4,000 customers affected in Crittenden County.
