Severe threat moves out, First Alert Weather Day over
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Wednesday was a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY in the Mid-South.
The Storm Prediction Center placed Shelby County, much of North Mississippi and all of eastern Arkansas under an ENHANCED RISK (3 out of 5) for severe weather.
THREATS: High wind is possible along the main line tonight. Wind gusts could exceed 40 mph, which could result in power outages and downed trees. The tornado threat is very low. Heavy rain and lightning will be the primary threat
TIMING: The main line will continue moving east through 10 PM tonight. A few storms could linger after midnight in northeast Mississippi.
