MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Now that spring has sprung, now is a great time to see the zodiacal light. It is best viewed on moonless evenings just after sunset. Astronomers say that the next several weeks will be a great time to view the mysterious light. According to some the light looks like a pyramid extending up from the western horizon. To view it, you will need to be in a rural area where it is completely dark. It will appear around 80 to 120 minutes after sunset.

Some have described the light as an eerie sight. Check out the picture below.

Where does this light come from?

According to astronomers, the zodiacal light is caused by sunlight reflecting off interplanetary dust particles that orbit the sun within the inner solar system. The zodiacal goes upward from the western sky and toward the constellation Taurus the Bull.
