MPD: Landscaping crew finds human bones on Mud Island

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A landscaping crew uncovered human remains Saturday afternoon while cutting grass on Mud Island, according to the Memphis Police Department.
MPD says investigators were called to seen around 4 p.m. at the south end of Mud Island. An MPD spokesperson tells us the bones were found in an area that is usually covered by water.
Investigators returned to the scene Sunday to gather more evidence for the investigation.
