OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (WMC) - The DeSoto County coroner has released the names of the victims in a Olive Branch triple homicide that happened on New Year’s Day.

The victims are as follows:

  • Tommi Lynn Carrier, a 40-year-old woman of Hernando, Miss.
  • Tyler Glen Liles, 33-year-old man of Ellettsville, Ind.
  • John Lennon Sutherland, a 30-year-old man of Memphis, Tenn.

The news comes hours after officers in Olive Branch arrested a man in connection with the crime.

Police responded to a ‘shots fired’ call near Jefferson Drive and Shiloah Cove around 1:40 Friday morning.

When OBPD arrived on the scene, three victims were found dead with gunshot wounds.

Investigators identified the suspect as Ivan Rodriguez, 26, from Cordova, Tennessee. He has been arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Rodriguez is being held without bond.

Officers said he will appear in court on January 28 at 9:00 am.
