Memphis anti-violence activist discourages celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A local anti-violence activist is asking people to NOT participate in celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve.
Stevie Moore of Freedom from Unnecessary Negatives shared a photo on Facebook.
He calls shooting guns on New Year’s Eve a “Negative Tradition” not to mention illegal in city limits.
And shooting into the air is especially dangerous since there’s no way to know where the bullet will come back down.
