LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (WMC) - Several frontline workers in Arkansas were the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the state.

The Arkansas Department of Health administered the vaccinations Monday afternoon to health care workers in Little Rock after the first shipment arrived in the state.

States began bracing for the shipment of the vaccine after the Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use and authorization of the vaccine last week.
