MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Voting was halted Tuesday afternoon at a Shelby County polling location after poll workers smelled gas in the building.

Polling machines were moved outside of the Union Valley Baptist Church on McLemore Avenue as officials with Memphis Light, Gas and Water investigated the leak.

MLGW was able to trace the leak to a gas stove in the kitchen of the church.

Voting will continue as normal.
