East Memphis church catches fire
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis firefighters are investigating an overnight church fire.
The fire broke out near 2:30 a.m. at Princeton and Perkins Road in East Memphis.
Investigators said the church appeared to be vacant and the fire started in the back of the building.
It’s unclear what sparked the blaze. Memphis Fire Department estimates the total damage to be $105,000 in smoke, fire and water damage.
