Tours begin Saturday at the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home in Lakeland
LAKELAND, Tenn. (WMC) - Tours of the St. Jude Dream Home begin this weekend with just five weeks left before one lucky St. Jude supporter claims the home as their own.
It’s not hard to fall in love with this piece of real estate. It’s gorgeous on the outside with a two-car attached garage, sprawling backyard, and when you walk through the door prepare to have your breath taken away.
Construction is finished and the house is fully decorated, complete with custom features, including hardwood floors, top-of-the-line faucets and a spacious living room. It truly is a dream home.
“You will not walk in one of my homes and not say wow,” said Greg Bridgers with Southern Serenity Homes.
This is the 13th home Bridgers has built for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. He says all the work that goes into building it is a labor of love.
“That one child we’re losing is one too many and I’ve met him and it’s tough,” said Bridgers. “That’s why we do what we do.”
The Dream Home is approximately 3,400 square feet, perfect for a family of four. One bedroom is decked out for a little princess who loves pink, fuzzy things. Another bedroom is primed for your little boy who loves his Louisville sluggers. A third bedroom is perfect for guests or perhaps a decked-out den with recliner seats.
But the room of all rooms is the master bedroom with a “bathroom for a queen to die in.”
This beautiful home, worth an estimated $475,000, can be yours for just $100. Reserve your ticket now by calling 1 (800) 224-6681 or visiting dreamhome.org.
“We’re way ahead of last year’s ticket sales and we know hopefully it’ll be an even earlier sell out this year,” said Dr. Susan Aguillard with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital board.
The countdown is on. The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is June 23. Reserve as many tickets as you want to increase your chance of winning.
More importantly, you’re saving lives.
