ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was found dead in a home in Zachary Thursday, Mar. 21.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the woman as Frances Jane Schultz, 74. She was shot multiple times and her death is being ruled as a homicide, according to the coroner’s report.

Sheriff Sid Gautreaux says the call came in around 8:20 p.m. to the home located in the 24000 block of Brian Road. Her husband, Art Schultz, called 911 after coming home to find his wife’s body bound in the home. The sheriff says there are signs of forced entry, leading them to believe this was a home invasion.
