Arkansas father shot, killed at convenience store
FORREST CITY, AR (WMC) - Forrest City police have arrested a man for a murder at a local corner store.
According to investigators, 31-year-old Rashad Green allegedly shot and killed Louis Moore Saturday night.
Sunday, WMC spoke to Moore's heartbroken fiance Kiliefia Earl. They had been dating for six years.
"He was so caring, he was a real man, he was a real human with a real heart," Earl said.
Earl says what makes this story unbelievable is the history between Moore and his accused murderer.
Forrest City police say Green hit and killed Moore’s sister Lakeisha as she crossed the street in the summer of 2018. The incident was ruled an accident.
"And he got to walk free and that was wrong, so wrong," Earl said.
After her death, Moore took care of his sister's three children.
Saturday, police say the two got into an argument before Green shot Moore.
Green told police he thought Moore was going for a gun. Forrest City police say no gun was found on Moore or in his car.
"Louis never owned a gun," Earl said.
Earl says Moore would never have done anything to leave his sister's kids and his own four children. She says he had gone out for candy so they could watch a movie with the kids.
Now his clothes are the only thing that brings her comfort.
"This is his jacket, this is his shirt, this is his pajamas. I got on his boxers too, I got on everything. I just want to feel him I just want to smell him I got on everything," Earl said.
Earl is asking for Green to be convicted.
She's worried he won't face any jail time for the death of a second member of the Moore family.
"Two people, 1 family, something ain't right. Something ain't right," Earl said.
Earl says Moore and Green did not have an on-going feud and now she's afraid for her safety.
The convenience store captured surveillance video of some of the incident, but would not release the video.
