BARTLETT, TN (WMC) - A dentist was indicted for the murder of his girlfriend at a Bartlett home last summer.

Bobby Massengill, 74, was indicted on first-degree murder charges for the shooting death of 52-year-old Shiela Scott.

Massengill, who practiced dentistry in Covington, is being held without bond.

Police arrived at the scene to find Scott on the kitchen floor bleeding out after being shot with a 20 gauge shotgun.

Scott told officers her boyfriend, Bobby Massengill, shot her. She then told officers that he did it on purpose.
