Here’s how to spend New Year’s Eve in Memphis
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The final hours of 2018 are upon us and many are weighing their options on where to go for New Year’s Eve.
Downtown Memphis has plenty of happenings.
The Beale Street Guitar drop is sure to attract thousands of people ringing in the new year.
The annual Peabody Hotel New Year's Eve party is one of the biggest parties in the city.
You can expect live music and bands at each of these events including Tin Roof, BB Kings and Disco at Paula and Raiford’s.
If you are looking to avoid the downtown crowds check out New Year’s Eve at the Guesthouse at Graceland.
There is a dance floor and champagne bottles will be popping at Railgarten and Lafayette’s Music Room.
Those searching for more family friendly festivities before midnight can check out New Years Eve at noon both the Benjamin Hooks Library and Children's Museum of Memphis.
A New Year’s Eve party for the kiddos is also planned at The Trolley Stop Market starting at 5:30 p.m.
If you are interested in giving back and serving others as we head into the New Year, there is an opportunity at the third annual Homeless Day Party and Assistance Drive.
Volunteers and artists are welcome to donate their time packing small food baskets and toiletry backpacks. There will be barbecuing, board games, and dancing at the homeless day party at Brinson’s Downtown starting at 11 a.m.
However you ring in the new year, have fun and be safe.
