3 teens, 3 adults charged with murder, robbery in string of crimes

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Six people have been arrested and charged with murder, robbery in string of crimes.
Memphis Police Department responded to a shooting around 1:15 a.m. Friday on Summer Avenue, when a male victim said he was approached by two of the suspects who attempted to rob him.
The victim also told police that he saw the suspects shoot a man who was sitting in his truck. The man was later identified as 35-year-old Xavier Shotwell. Shotwell rammed the suspects black Mercedes, as they began shooting. Shotwell died from his injuries.
Police say a white truck was also on the scene of these crimes, and was involved in the robberies and a carjacking where the suspects acquired the black Mercedes on November 29th. The Mercedes was later found burned.
The suspects were caught during a routine traffic stop just before 2 a.m. Friday morning.
All six suspects, including three teens, were arrested and taken into custody.
They include 13-year-old Mykale Collins, 14-year-old, Jacobi Wesley, 15-year-old Tahiem Garrett, 19-year-old Marcus Brown, 21-year-old Carlos Craft, and 23-year-old Demetris Harris.
They are all facing first degree murder and robbery charges.
Brown, Harris, and Craft face additional firearm charges.
